ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc.
In 1993, ABS-CB Foundation Inc. (AFI), funded a microcredit project for 25 poor women and mothers in Loyola Heights, QC. Small loans were used as capital for micro enterprises such as food vending, petty trading and home-scale manufacturing. The venture demonstrated that by making access to credit available, the family becomes economically active and productive.
